01 At a glance

Here's the short version. The full policy is below, but if you only read one section, read this one.

  • What we collect: your Google account info when you sign in (name, email, profile picture), basic device info, app usage analytics, and an advertising identifier.
  • Why: to let you sign in, save your progress, keep the app working, fix bugs, and show ads that fund free games.
  • Who we share with: Google (for sign-in, ads, and analytics) and Apple (for sign-in on iOS). We don't sell your data.
  • Kids: if you're a child, our games show non-personalised ads only, and we follow Google Play's Families Policy and the Apple App Store guidelines for children.
  • Your control: you can request access to or deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@gamearo.com.

04 How we use it

Every piece of data we collect is used for one or more of the following purposes:

  • Authentication: let you sign in, save your progress, and sync across devices.
  • Service operation: keep the game running on your device and recover from crashes.
  • Improvement: understand which features people use so we can make better games.
  • Advertising: show ads through Google AdMob (subject to your consent where required).

06 Advertising

Our games are free to play and supported by advertising delivered through Google AdMob. Ads help us keep the games free for everyone.

Personalised vs non-personalised ads

  • Personalised ads use your advertising ID and prior activity to show ads more relevant to you. We only show these where you've given consent (in the EU/UK/EEA, Switzerland, and other regions where required) or where allowed under applicable law.
  • Non-personalised ads are shown to all users who decline personalised ads, all child users, and in regions where personalised advertising to general audiences is restricted.

Your ad controls

  • Android: Settings → Google → Ads → "Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalisation".
  • iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → toggle off "Allow Apps to Request to Track", or deny tracking when the prompt appears in our app.
  • In-app: we provide a "Privacy & Ads" option in the game settings where you can update your consent at any time.

07 Children's privacy

Some of our games are listed as family-friendly and may be used by children. We take this seriously and comply with the following:

  • Google Play Families Policy — all SDKs in our family-targeted apps are on Google's certified list of self-certified ads SDKs for families.
  • Apple App Store Kids Category guidelines — no behavioural advertising, no third-party tracking for advertising purposes.
  • COPPA (US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) — for users we know or believe to be under 13.
  • UK Age-Appropriate Design Code and GDPR Article 8 — for users in the UK and EU under 16 (or the relevant national age of digital consent).

For child users specifically

When we detect or are informed that a user is a child: we show only non-personalised, family-safe ads; we don't use behavioural analytics to build a profile; we don't allow social features, chat, or user-generated content beyond what's strictly necessary for gameplay; and we don't request location, contacts, or other sensitive permissions.

If you believe your child has provided us personal information and you'd like it removed, please contact us at privacy@gamearo.com and we will delete it promptly.

08 Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these limited situations:

  • Service providers listed in Section 05 (Google, Apple, Firebase), strictly to deliver the services described.
  • Legal requirements — if required by a valid court order, subpoena, or law-enforcement request, we may disclose data to the extent legally required.
  • Business transfer — if GameAro is ever acquired, merges, or sells assets, your data may transfer to the new entity, subject to this Privacy Policy.
  • With your consent — for anything outside the above, we'll ask first.

09 Data retention

We keep information only as long as we need it:

  • Account & progress data: as long as your account is active. If you don't open the app for 24 months, your account may be deleted automatically.
  • Analytics data: retained for up to 14 months (Firebase default), then aggregated or deleted.
  • Crash logs: 90 days.
  • Support emails: 2 years from the date of last contact.
  • Legal records (e.g. tax, fraud): as long as required by applicable law.

You can request earlier deletion at any time — see Section 11.

10 Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data: encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls on our backend, and reliance on Google's and Apple's secure authentication systems.

No system is 100% secure, however. If we ever experience a data breach affecting your personal information, we'll notify you and the relevant authorities within the timeframes required by law (within 72 hours under the GDPR).

11 Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the following rights:

Everyone

  • Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Delete your personal information.
  • Opt out of personalised advertising at any time.

EU / UK / EEA / Switzerland (GDPR & UK GDPR)

  • Restrict or object to processing of your data.
  • Receive a portable copy of your data (data portability).
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

California (CCPA / CPRA)

  • Know what personal information is collected, used, and shared.
  • Request deletion of personal information.
  • Opt out of "sale" or "sharing" — we do not sell, but we treat ad-related sharing as covered by this right where applicable.
  • Non-discrimination — exercising these rights won't affect your service or pricing.

To exercise any right, email privacy@gamearo.com with the subject "Privacy request". We'll respond within 30 days (45 days for CCPA, extendable per law).

12 International data transfers

GameAro is based in India. The third-party services we use (Google, Apple, Firebase) operate globally and may process your data in the United States, the EU, India, or elsewhere.

Where data is transferred out of the EU/UK/EEA, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, or other lawful transfer mechanisms, as implemented by these providers.

13 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, when we add a new feature, a new third-party SDK, or when laws change.

When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we'll also notify you through the app or by email. Continued use of our games after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.

14 Contact us

If you have questions, complaints, or requests about this policy or your data, please get in touch. We answer every email personally.
